Excitement!

Oban, Scotland – Beautiful, right?!

Yes beloved readers, I’m excited!

I’ve made a decision; one that will change my entire life. I’ve decided to pursue a career in creativity & life purpose coaching. And not just pursue it, I’ve decided to start my very own business. Look out World!

What is Coaching and Why is it Important?

Well let’s start out with the first part. Coaching is a collaborative partnership between a coach and an individual who is seeking a meaningful connection; through a process of self discovery, goal setting and actions; to themselves and the world around them. It’s about providing a safe environment for a client to dig deep and uncover their creative self and take the steps necessary to live a more authentic life.

Why is it important? Well that’s easy! Ever worked a job you hated? Dreamed of quitting in order to write full time, travel the world or a million other more interesting tasks than sitting at your boring desk job (or similar job that sucks the life from you…trust me there are tons of them out there.) Ever use the phrase ‘working for the weekend’? Spend Monday through Friday counting down the hours, minutes and sometimes seconds until the weekend? Ever thought of something you’d love to try/accomplish/learn more about, but weren’t quite sure where to start? Feeling a bit scared, depressed, or anxious for a change? There must be more to life than this!? You catch yourself thinking or saying aloud.

Come on, be honest…I know some of you have. I know, because I have too!

This is why coaching is important. Working with a coach you will discover your passions, your values and your next steps. A coach will ask you those all important questions that no one else will.  Coaches will not tell you what to do, in fact coaching is an advice free zone. This is important because if there is anyone in this world that knows you best..it’s YOU!

Sure I could tell you what to do, and you might even listen…for awhile…but then something will happen; if things don’t go as plan you’ll be angry, feel rebellious and resentful that you’re doing what I told you to do, and not what you want to do! Coaching puts the decisions (and therefore the actions and results) in the hands of the client making them accountable and able to live a more authentic life.

Getting excited? I hope so! My focus will be helping those whom are looking to beak from a conventional life/career and embrace their own creativity in order to live a more authentic life in line with their life’s passion/purpose. I’ll also be working with those who are anxious for a change or looking to gain some clarity in their life. Did you see I said their life…that’s right…no more living a life for someone else.

So that’s just a short description folks. I hope you’re excited and curious! My company (and website), Creative Living Strategies, is set to launch mid to late August 2012. I’ll be posting updates here and on Twitter ( @createlivstrat ) as we get closer to the official date.

And lastly…because it’s stuck in my head…. Enjoy!

I am so excited to check out the website; finding a passion in life is so hard for many, it’s easy to get stuck in the day to day without seeing what could be, you will be able to point out the could be for people. I love it!!! This is clearly a passion for you and you will be an amazing coach. Rock on, Angie :)
